Facts, Informatuon on Snakes building muscle needed for blog

Im in a Discussion in some other forums and find this subject to be very interesting.  Wondering if anyone has any information on paper, book or internet that i can cite.

The subject is how snakes build muscle.   There are books (Boas books)  that say the boas bulid muscle during there winter period when they should eat a little  less and they convert there fat to muscle.  I have seen just a passage  in a boa book. ( i can post it). but is this biologically correct?

My question is where can i find information on this  if its true snakes buld muscle durring there "hibernation", im looking for facts  like I said im trying to build up information for a blog im working on.

next question is  how do snakes build muscle and are so strong, when they move so little?  dont you need to use your muscles t build them?

Att ormar har muskler trots att de kan ligga stilla längre tider har med deras anatomi att göra. Det handlar inte enbart om att träna för att få muskler, utan det är till ganska stor del genetiskt. Kollar man bara på oss människor, så skiljer det sig mellan individer, men framförallt mellan könen då män har lättare att bygga muskler. 

Angående att muskler byggs upp vid brumering så har jag själv aldrig hört det, men jag läser inte så mycket litteratur om ormar. Vad är det för böcker som det nämns i, och exakt vad står det?

that is an intresting subject to do reserch on. I tought that it must be some kind of chemical triggering mechanism for muscle building in their biology that is activated.
